Skyrim was released in November 2011 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
It is the follow-up to 2006’s The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and it is the fifth installment in the Elder Scrolls action role-playing video game series. The game is set in the fictional province of Skyrim, upon the continent of Tamriel, and the planet of Nirn. The game is played from a first-person perspective and the player controls an avatar. Skyrim continues the open-world tradition of its predecessors by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time, and to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely.
In the game, the player character’s main goal is to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. To do this, the player must acquire the souls of a number of legendary dragons. The game continues the open-world tradition of its predecessors by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time and to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely. The game is mostly linear, but the player can ignore the main quest if they wish.
Skyrim is played from a first-person perspective with the player using a mouse to navigate the world and interact with the environment and with menus. The player may also switch to a third-person perspective. The game reuses the same engine as Oblivion, which is a modified Gamebryo engine.

Morrowind takes place on Vvardenfell, an island in the Dunmer province of Morrowind, which lies in the empire of Tamriel. The open-ended nature of the game allows one to play as a character who may freely roam about the island of Vvardenfell, complete many quests, join various guilds, and interact with NPCs.
The game retains the open-ended gameplay and non-linear style of Daggerfall, while improving graphics. It also incorporates an improved combat system over its predecessors, featuring a real-time-with-pause (RTwP) combat system. The game has won multiple awards, including Game of the Year.

Mass Effect 2 is an action role-playing video game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It is the second installment of the Mass Effect series and a sequel to Mass Effect.
